How it works:​

To join us, you must book a table online and pay a small entry fee on arrival. 

 

1. The Cost

• Online Booking: £6 per table (Max 5 people per table).

• At the Door: £1 per person (Under 1s are FREE).

Example: A group of 2 adults and 3 children (over age 1) would pay £6 for the table online and £5 at the door—£11 total.

 

2. Essential Info

• Capacity: Each table holds a maximum of 5 people (including all adults, children, and babies).

• Availability: Only 10 tables per session—please book early to avoid disappointment. On Tuesday from 2-4pm we limit our capacity to just 5 tables which suits families who enjoy a more chilled environment. 

• Support: We are here for you. If you need any assistance before or during your visit, contact us at manager@boingsoftplay.com.

An important note from the Boing! Lockleaze team for all our customers - past and present...​

After 15 years of service, Boing! Lockleaze will be closing at the end of March 2026.  The following is the (slightly adapted) social media announcement made in February 2026...

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Boing! Lockleaze will be closing on Sunday 29th March 2026.

​

I know that this will come as a real shock to many. Unfortunately, due to a combination of factors - including rising costs, and falling bookings and income, we are unable to continue.

​

We are all so sorry for this news - we know that Boing! Lockleaze means so much to so many people locally and further afield - and cannot begin to explain what a difficult decision-making process this has been.  When we started in 2011 in a ramshackle old portacabin - The Blake Centre - (which was a ridiculous place to have a softplay family centre) families didn't quite know what to expect. But they quickly loved the vibe and the staff, and word got around that it was so much more than a softplay - it was a place for children to run around, exercise, get creative. It was a place for parents/carers/grandparents to interact, watch, connect with others and/or drink a cuppa whilst still hot! We were fortunate to have all this transfer to the Hub when we moved in 2014.

It has been a brilliant 15 years. We have loved serving you, being a part of your lives, meeting your families, seeing them grow - having the honour of watching as your children take their first steps or say their first words. It has been a true privilege to be here for you, running a place where you can get support and have an adult conversation. Thank you ALL for supporting us.

We would love to spend time with as many of you as possible right up to the time we close, so please keep booking those weekday sessions with us (scroll to the bookings, below).  Unfortunately, we won't be taking any more party bookings.

There ​is some very bright and positive news...

Brilliant local charity, Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust (www.lockleazent.co.uk), are going to take on the room and the softplay and continue the family support provision after Easter 2026.  Please register your interest, generally and for parties, with them at https://mailchi.mp/4416409f2f13/lockleaze-soft-play-newsletter-sign-up

As a new provider, they are going to need some start up funds to be able to deliver so they have started a Crowdfunder, www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/save-the-lockleaze-soft-play  Any contribution is valued but please do share this link with friends and family - we want it to go far and wide. This is absolutely crucial if you want softplay in Lockleaze to remain (and add to the memories for future generations).
